Continuity & Recovery
Plan continuity. Verify recovery.
No universal business continuity plan, tested recovery capability, RTO, or RPO is published here. Define responsibilities and evidence for the actual system and agreement.
Business continuity
Review the dependencies.
These are planning categories, not a claim that controls or exercises are currently operating.
strategy
- Identify business-critical workflows, people, suppliers, and dependencies.
- Assign decision-makers and alternate contacts.
resilience
- Review single points of failure and operational workarounds.
- Record system-specific recovery assumptions and constraints.
recovery
- Set RTO/RPO only when architecture and test evidence support them.
- Record backup scope, restore procedure, and restore-test results.
communication
- Agree customer communication channel, owner, and contractual obligations.
- Do not imply a public status page or guaranteed incident coverage.
Disaster Recovery
Recovery Objectives
No RTO or RPO is published.
Recovery objectives must be supported by a defined architecture, accountable owner, backup scope, and relevant test evidence before being committed.
Backup Strategy
- Document systems and data in backup scope.
- Confirm frequency, access, encryption, retention, and expiry.
- No universal backup schedule is published.
Testing
- Record restore/failover test scope and results when performed.
- Do not describe planned exercises as completed tests.
Documentation
- Map system and vendor dependencies.
- Agree contacts, recovery authority, customer communication, and review cadence.
